The Spice Village, Periyar is located in the midst of the Cardamom Hills in the Western Ghats in Kerala. The Spice Village is situated right outside the periphery of the Periyar National Park and is an ideal set up for tourists to enjoy the natural beauty of Kerala. Set in the midst of dense green forest, The Spice Village has a lot to offer.Keeping intact the flavor of local tribes, the resort has been designed in a way that it merges with the surroundings.
ACCOMMODATION
Spread across eight acres of domesticated forests, the Spice Village has 52 cottages. Inspired from the dwellings of the local tribes, the cottages have thatched roofs made of elephant grass but are equipped all modern amenities. Spacious and simply furnished, the cottages have terracotta-tiled floors, wooden furniture and whitewashed walls. With a verandah all round each cottage, it is set on well-demarcated lawn. At the center of the village is a swimming pool against a background of topical tress and lawns.
