Welcome to Poovar Island Resort. Poovar (Kerala, India) is an island located at 30 kms from Trivandrum. Poovar Island Resort is the only resort in the area with backwater on one side and beach on the another. Poovar is approachable by the mainland by a short boatride from the town of Poovar.
ACCOMMODATION
The resort offers two types of accommodation. The Floating Cottages, which are 6 in number and the Superior (Land) Cottages which are 22 in number.
Floating Cottages : As you disembark at the Poovar Island Resort, on the waterfront are 10 elegant floating cottages, each one connected to island by a bridge.
Superior Cottages : The resort also provides 22 land based cottages. The cottages are built on stilts on a moat and have private balcony with a hammock.
E.P = European Plan = Room Only.
C.P = Continental Plan = Room Rent + Breakfast.
M.A.P = Modified American Plan = Room Rent + Breakfast + Lunch or Dinner.
A.P = American Plan = Room Rent + Breakfast + Lunch + Dinner.
RESTAURANT & BAR
To give their guests a delectable repast, the Poovar Island Resort has a multi-cuisine eatery, Tiffins. This coffee shop serves Western, Asian and Indian cuisines. The Fish Market offers an ideal set up for a romantic dinner. A seafood specialty-floating restaurant, it is open only for dinner. The restaurant serves a variety of seafood, both Kerala style and continental style.
